Rupa Bayor achieved a historical feat as she became the first Indian taekwondo athlete to enter into the world's top 10 Poomsae rankings. This is, as per the latest World Poomsae Ranking released by WT World Taekwondo. The young taekwondo athlete sits in the ninth spot currently, which is the highest that any Indian has ever achieved in the sport, irrespective of the format. Rupa Bayor had earlier won a silver medal at the Australian Open in the Poomsae event in the U-30 age category. Besides this, she had also bagged the bronze medal at the 2024 Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships. Rupa Bayor is also the  top-ranked taekwondo athlete in Asia.
