An unfortunate incident occurred in the Women's 76 Kg freestyle wrestling quarterfinal in the Paris Olympics 2024 as USA's Wrestler Kennedy Blades played the German Supplex move on Romania's Catalina Axente. Axente landed on her neck and although Blades got the five points, Axente had to be stretchered off and rushed the hospital. Blades won the match and proceeded to the semifinal.
