Indian sports now have a new star and this time it's Taekwondo. Rodali Barua, who has been consistent with her performances, bags a bronze medal at the Asian Taekwondo Championship 2024. This ends the 10-year wait for the title. Latika Bhandari was the last Indian to win a medal at the continental event back in 2014. In the quarterfinals, Rodali Barua defeated Iroda Mirtadjieva. But the defeat against China’s top seed Xu Lei handed the bronze medal. Barua has won gold medals in the India Open (2019), the President's Cup Asia (2018) and El Hassan Open (2018).
