Preeti Pawar advanced to the round of 16 of the Women's Boxing 54kg event at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a victory over Vietnam's Vo Thi Kim Anh on Sunday, July 28. Making her debut at the Olympic Games, Preeti put up a good show to win the bout by unanimous decision (5-0). The young boxer is now slated to face Colombia's Arias Castaneda in her next match. This is a good start for India's boxing contingent at the Paris Olympics 2024.
