Pooja Jatyan suffered a heartbreaking defeat to China's Wu Chunyan in the quarterfinal of the Women's Individual Recurve Open para-archery event at Paris Paralympics 2024 on September 3. The 27-year-old started on a high and was 4-0 up at one stage and needed a nine to win the match. But in a dramatic turn of events, she went on to lose the next three to the Chinese para-archer. With the 4-6 defeat to the two-time Paralympics medalist, she bowed out of the event. Pooja Jatyan however will still be in action in the mixed team recurve event alongside Harvinder Singh.
