Indian para-athlete Navdeep Singh was able to win a gold medal in the men's javelin F41 category at the Paris Paralympics 2024 by achieving a throw of 47.32 m. However, Navdeep initially won a silver which was converted to gold after Iran's Sadegh Beit Sayah showed a black flag with Arabic text on live television. He was found guilty of breaching rules and was considered indisciplined after which he got disqualified. While speaking to PTI, Navdeep explained the scenario and revealed that at first, he didn't realise what happened during the event.
