Noah Lyles Wins Gold Medal in Men’s 100 M Athletics Event at Paris Olympics 2024, Beats Closest Competitor Kishane Thompson by 0.005 Seconds

In one of the closest contests, Team USA’s Noah Lyles won the 100 M Sprint event at the Paris Olympics 2024. Jamaica's Kishane Thompson was just 0.005 seconds behind and came second. The USA won a gold medal in the event after 20 Years.

Many eyes were on the Men’s 100 M athletics event with the world’s fastest sprinters participating for the ultimate glory. Noah Lyles won the gold medal in the end clocking 9.784s for the distance. Challenger Kishane Thompson came second with 9.789s timing while USA's Fred Kerly won the bronze with a timing of 9.810s. It was one of the closest finishes in the event but the USA star bagged the gold medal after a late push, adding the Olympic 100m gold to his World Championship title. With the win, Noah Lyles became the first USA sprinter to win a gold medal in a 100 M event at the Olympics since Justin Gatlin did so in 2004.
