The 27-year-old boxer got the better of her opponent from Kazakhstan to come out on top in the final. Nikhat Zareen will now look to make it big as she makes her debut at the Olympics Games, which is slated to take place later this year in Paris.

Nikhat Zareen won the gold medal in women's 52kg in boxing event at Elorda Cup 2024 on Saturday, May 18. The Indian pugilist defeated Zhazira Urakbayeva of Kazakhstan 5-0 by an unanimous decision to win the title in the 52kg category.
