The Tokyo Olympics gold medallist registered four fouls in five attempts and did not have a great day at the office. He did register his season's best throw, which is 89.45m in his second attempt. Arshad Nadeem meanwhile Pakistan's first gold medal winner in track-and-field athletics.

Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the men's javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Tokyo Olympics champion did not look to be at his best as he registered three fouls in his first four attempts, with just the second one going for a distance of 89.45m. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem took the gold in this event with a massive throw of 92.97m. In the process, the Pakistan athlete also registered an Olympic record, with this throw coming on his second attempt.
