Neeraj Chopra, India’s Gold Medallist in Tokyo Olympics 2020, Attains Second Spot in World Javelin Throw Rankings

Neeraj Chopra won India's first gold medal in track and field athletics at the Olympics, by winning the men's javelin throw final event in the recently concluded Summer Games in Tokyo. He thus joined Abhinav Bindra as India's only individual gold medal winners at the Olympics.

Neeraj Chopra, India's gold medal winner at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 gained 14 places to move to the second spot in the world javelin throw rankings. Chopra has a score of 1315 to his name with Germany's Johannes Vetter holding the top spot with his score being 1396.
