Neeraj Chopra was forced to retake his first attempt in the men's javelin throw event at the Asian Games 2023 on October 4. The ace javelin thrower came up with an impressive effort in his first attempt which seemed to be around 85m. But a technical error followed which resulted in his attempt not being calculated. He therefore had to come up with a revised first attempt, which saw him register 82.38m.
