Neeraj Chopra bagged the silver medal in men's javelin throw event with a throw of 89.45m on August 8. The Tokyo Olympics gold medallist was far from his best as he made four fouls in six attempts but was still good enough to help India win its first silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal with a throw of 92.97m which is also an Olympic record. Neeraj's 89.45m throw came in his second attempt.
