Navdeep Singh won the gold medal in the Men's Javelin Throw F41 event at Paris Paralympics 2024 with a sensational effort of 47.32m, on Saturday, September 7. Singh also broke the Paralympic Games record, which was 47.13, set by China's Sun Pengxiang. Singh had earlier won the silver medal with Iran's Sadegh Beit Sayah taking gold with a Paralympic Games record of 47.64m but he was disqualified due to 'unsporting or improper conduct' as per the Paris Paralympics 2024 official website and as a result, Navdeep Singh's silver was upgraded to gold. This was India's 29th medal after Simran Singh's bronze medal, and seventh gold medal overall.
