Indian Long jumper Murali Sreeshankar narrowly misses podium as he ends up his campaign with the best jump of 7.99m. He took the lead early with his first jump being his longest one and was in the contention for a medal till the fifth attempt. He ranged between 7.96m and 7.93m in his next attempts.  Radek Juska comes up with a jump of 8.04m to climb to fourth and pushed Sreeshankar to fifth position.
