KM Deeksha Breaks Harmilan Bains' National Record in Women's 1500m Event at Sound Running Track Fest 2024

In 2023, the 25-year-old from Madhya Pradesh had clocked a timing of 4:06.07 in women's 1500m event and with this performance, she has bettered it. Harmilan Bains had set the National Record in 2021.

KM Deeksha scripted a new National Record in women's 1500m running at the Sound Running Track Fest 2024 on Sunday, May 12. The 25-year-old clocked 4:04.78 secs in the women's 1500m run at the event, which took place in Los Angeles and with this performance, broke the previous national record set by Harmilan Bains, who had clocked 4:05.39 seconds in this category, three years ago at the National Open Championships, Warangal 2021. In the Sound Running Track Fest 2024, Deeksha finished third behind Krissy Gear and Lucia Stanford. Parvej Khan Wins Gold Medal in Men's 1500m Event at SEC Championships 2024 in Florida, Clocks 3:42.73 in Final (Watch Video).
