Boston Celtics won their 18th NBA Championship and Jaylen Brwon was named NBA 2024 Finals MVP for his performance. Jayson Tatum was not far behind also as the young star broke Kobe Bryant’s postseason scoring record during the championship run.
Playing at home, the Boston Celtics dominated the game against the Dallas Mavericks to win their 18th NBA Championship. All eyes were on Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum who failed in the previous two NBA finals but looked unstoppable throughout the NBA 2023-24 season. While Jaylen Brown topped his Eastern Conference Finals MVP award with the NBA 2024 Finals MVP accolade. Jayson Tatum on the other hand also entered in the record books as he surpassed legendary Kobe Bryant’s total in the postseason. Scoring 2,695 points in 113 games before turning 27 Tatum overtook Kobe’s record of 2694 points in 119 games for the Los Angeles Lakers.
