Indian Women's Table Tennis team start their campaign in the Paris Olympics 2024 with a win as they qualify for the quarterfinals of the team event for the first time. India defeated Romania in the Round of 16 by a margin of 3-2. India started the encounter strong with Sreeja Akula-Archana Kamath winning the doubles match and then Manika Batra extending the lead. But Romania came back well and equalised by beating Sreeja Akula and Archana Kamath in singles. In the final face-off, Manika Batra kept her nerves and took India over the line.
