Indian Paralympics contingent at Paris 2024 has been one of the high-performing athletes so far in the history of the country. The team raced to the 15 medals tally and currently stands at the 15th position on the medals tally. Day five has been the most productive for the country with Sumit Antil and Nitesh Kumar winning gold medals in their respective sports. Even though there were multiple heartbreaks, Suhas Yathiraj, Thulasimathi Murugesan, and Yogesh Kathuniya bagged silver medals while Nithya Sre Sivan, Manisha Ramadass, and Sheetal Devi-Rakesh Kumar pair won bronze medals. With eight medals on the day, India records the most number of medals won in one day at the Paralympic Games. In the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, India won 19 medals and finished at the 24th position in the medals tally. Currently, the para-athletes from the country are on the verge of breaking the previous medal tally record for the country.
