The India National Hockey Team defeated the Pakistan National Hockey Team in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 match. The close contest ended with a 2-1 scoreline in the favour of Men in Blue. Harmanpreet Singh scored both goals but Krishan Pathak also grabbed the headlines for his quick reflex saves to keep India’s slender lead intact. In the fourth quarter when Pakistan was pushing for the goal, the side won a penalty. Pathak not only saved the ‘deflected’ penalty shot but also blocked the second attempt from the Pakistani attackers. The saves certainly played a vital role in India’s fifth straight victory.
