The Indian men's hockey team won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a 2-1 victory over Spain on Thursday, August 8. A brace from Harmanpreet Singh helped India stage a comeback in this match after Spain had taken the lead when Marc Miralles scored via a penalty corner in the second quarter. But India did not give up, and their relentless effort bore fruit, with captain Harmanpreet Singh levelling the score in the closing stages of the second quarter. Singh continued his good form at the Paris Olympics 2024, scoring once again to help India gain a 2-1 lead in this match. The scoreline remained intact at the end of the third quarter as well. Spain did try hard to equalise, but their efforts were in vain, with PR Sreejesh doing well to save a penalty corner in the last minutes of the game.
