Indian Men's Hockey team end their Paris Olympics 2024 group stage campaign with stunning 3-2 victory against Australia. With this win, India are likely to finish in top three in their group and that will determine who they face in the quarterfinals. India started the game on a positive note and pressurized the Australian defence with their circle entries. The pressure paid off as Abhishek gave them the lead and it was extended by Harmanpreet Singh later in the same quarter. Australia came back strong in the second quarter reducing the gap with a goal but India extended it further with Harmanpreet Singh converting a penalty stroke in the third quarter. Australia came agonizingly close to equalising in the final quarter with another goal but India defended for the remaining time bravely, managing to restrict them from scoring.
