In their first knock-out game of the Paris Olympics 2024, the India National Hockey Team faced many challenges against the Great Britain National Hockey Team. Manpreet Singh opened the scoring for India with a sublime finish from a penalty corner in the 27th minute, but Lee Morton equalised for Great Britain before halftime putting pressure on India. Defending without a main defender, the Indian side held on to the draw until the end of the fourth quarter. In the shoot-out experienced Sreejesh stood tall and saved two shots from England's attackers handing India an impressive win.
