Despite defeating Germany by a healthy margin of 5-3 in the second match of the Hockey Test series, India men's national hockey team lose the series to the visitors after they secured a 3-1 in win in the shootout. Germany took the lead in the first half with Elian Mazkour scoring. India were rather on the backfoot at that point of the game as Germany piled pressure. Things changed in the third quarter when India secured multiple penalty corners and opened up Germany. Harmanpreet Singh scored a brace while Sukhjeet Singh and Abhishek score one goals in that half taking India's lead to 4-1.
