Things changed in the third quarter when India secured multiple penalty corners and opened up Germany. The lead was extended further by Sukhjeet in the fourth quarter before Henrick Mertgens and Elian Mazkour scored to make it 5-3. The series ended 1-1 so a shootout was played to decide the winner.
