PR Sreejesh has retired from hockey. Sreejesh took to social media and posted an update where he announced his retirement from hockey. Sreejesh made this announcement during the Paris Olympics 2024. In honour of PR Sreejesh, Hockey India has decided to retire jersey number 16 in the senior team. This means that no player will be allowed to wear jersey number 16.
