Wojciech Szczesny has come out of retirement to join Barcelona, the Spanish club confirmed on October 2. The Polish goalkeeper has signed for the La Liga giants after first-choice keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen suffered a knee injury which is expected to keep him out of action for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. Wojciech Szczesny needs no separate introduction, having played for top clubs like Juventus, Roma as well as Arsenal in his career. Earlier this year, the goalkeeper had left Juventus by mutual consent and had subsequently announced his retirement.
