Sunil Chhetri Extends Bengaluru FC Contract by Two Years, To Stay at Club Till 2023

The 36-year striker, who has been with Bengaluru FC since their inception in 2013, has been one of their best performers, leading them to the ISL title in the 2018-19 season. Chhetri recently surpassed Argentine star Lionel Messi to reach the second spot in the list of active goalscorers for their national teams. He is now only behind Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Indian captain, who had joined Bengaluru in 2013, has signed a contract extension that would keep him at the club till 2023. Chhetri has scored a total of 101 goals in 203 appearances for Bengaluru FC as he led the club to their only ISL trophy in the 2018-19 season.
