What a tournament it has been and after so many thrilling matches, we are down to the two sides, Argentina and France, one of whom would have their hands on the FIFA World Cup 2022 title on Sunday, December 18. Lionel Messi's dream of winning the World Cup now has a major obstacle in France, a team that would hope to retain the title. Both sides have been the best in the tournament and thus, deservedly meet in the final. Meanwhile, Croatia and Morocco would compete in the match for determining the third-place in the tournament. 

France manage to beat Morocco in a thrilling encounter to make it to the World Cup final for a second consecutive time. Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani found the net for France as the defending champions managed to fend off a spirited challenge from Morocco, who looked threatening for a considerable part of the game. The Atlas Lions came close but were unable to find the back of France's net and eventually, bow out with their heads held high. France meanwhile, will hope to retain their title when they take on Argentina in the final. 

Randal Kolo Muani has made an instant impact after coming on seconds ago! What a moment this is for the youngster. Kylian Mbappe despite being crowded by a group of Morocco players takes the shot and Muani capitalises on a simple tap-in! 

France made a change in the form of Olivier Giroud being replaced by Marcus Thuram. Morocco too, have had some changes with Youssef En-Nesyri and Sofiane Boufal being withdrawn. Abderrazak Hamdallah and Zakaria Aboukhlal replace them. 

Morocco are relentlessly attacking here and it does not seem to stop. France are looking vulnerable here and it would be interesting to see what happens in the next 15-20 minutes.

Action in the second half of the match with Morocco seeking to equalise the score here. France would have to careful to have any chance of protecting their slender lead. 

Morocco's El Yamiq almost equalised with a sensational bicycle kick with the ball almost getting into the net. The Atlas Lions have put France under pressure towards the end of the first half. The second half promises to be full of more such action. France will look to score one more and have a one goal cushion but Morocco seem more likely to level. 

Morocco have had a strong finish to the first half with a flurry of attacks and very nearly came close to equalising on a couple pf occasions. Theo Hernandez gave France the lead in the fifth minute and they have had some chances to build on that but Morocco have seemed to be more threatening on the counter-attacks. The next 45 minutes is set to be good one with the clash far from over! 

France have had some good opportunities so far to add to their score but have failed to hit the back of the net. They might find another goal soon if they continue to play the way they are doing now. 

The game has been a pretty interesting one with both teams looking to make the most of the opportunity they get, to attack. Morocco have looked more composed since conceding that early goal and they hope to find an equaliser before the break.
