A penalty shoot-out settled a winner between the clash of the Portugal National Football Team and France National Football Team in the UEFA Euro 2024 quarterfinal game after both sides failed to score even in the extra time. After a defensive start to the ‘Ronaldo vs Mbappe’ mega fixture, both sides stepped up their offensive game, but still couldn’t find the back of the net. Kylian Mbappe and his France side were more aggressive shooting 20 shots at Portugal’s goal. Despite their efforts, the game ended in a stalemate and needed penalties to decide the winner. Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, and Nuno Mendez scored for Portugal, while Ousmane Dembele, Youssouf Fofana, Jules Kounde, Bradley Barcola, and Theo Hernandez scored for the Blues. Joao Felix couldn’t convert his shot, resulting in Portugal’s exit at the quarterfinal stage of the UEFA Euro 2024 competition. Watch the highlights below.
