Napoli suffered a shocking loss against Cremonese in their latest Coppa Italia 2022-23 round-of-16 match at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Naples. Cremonese got a great start to the match as Charles Pickel gave them the lead in the 18th minute. However soon after that, Napoli turned the game around. Juan Jesus and Giovanni Simeone scored in quick succession and made the score 2-1 in Napoli's favour. Felix Afena-Gyan found the equaliser for the visiting side in the 87th minute. With the score remaining 2-2 in regulation and extra time, the match entered a penalty shootout. Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka failed to hit the target as Cremonese defeated them 5-4.
