United outfoxed City in sudden bursts in the first half with Alejandro Garnacho giving them the lead from a error from Josko Gvardiol. It was soon extended by Kobbie Mainoo from a nice assist from Bruno Fernandes. United shut shop immediately after and despite City's extended efforts, they defended well.
