Liverpool Mourn the Demise of Former Player Sir Roger Hunt (Check Post)

Sir Roger Hunt was part of England's World Cup-winning squad in 1966 and is also the Merseyside club's second-highest goalscorer with 285 goals in 492 appearances. He also scored thrice in the 1966 World Cup and started the final match where England beat West Germany at Wembley.

Liverpool on Tuesday, paid their condolences to Sir Roger Hunt following his demise at the age of 83, on Monday. Taking to Twitter, they shared a post writing, "The thoughts of everybody at Liverpool Football Club are with Roger’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time."
