The struggles of scoring a goal continued for the India National Football team as they opened their Intercontinental Cup 2024 campaign with a 0-0 draw against Mauritius. Under new coach Manolo Marquez, the Blue Tigers were expected to play an imposing style of football but they struggled to dominate in the attacking third of Mauritius and it was the later who looked more threatening in the wide areas through counters despite India retaining much of the possession.
