India played out a 1-1 draw against Vietnam in an international friendly on Saturday, October 12. The Golden Star Warriors started on an aggressive note and put India under pressure early on. India national football team captain Gurpreet Singh Sandhu saved a penalty early on but Vietnam's relentless pressure paid off when they found the opening goal in the 38th minute when he appeared to lose a bit of balance. However, India fought back hard in the second half of the match with Farukh Choudhary scoring the equaliser in the 53rd minute. Both teams had their chances later on but neither side could make any change to the scoreline subsequently with the match finishing in a draw.
