Gareth Southgate fielded a strong lineup in the friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina at St James Park with Watkins leading the attack instead of Harry Kane. But the home side took control of the game from the start with 71% possession and 25 shots at the opposition goal. Cole Palmer gave his side the lead from the spot kick, while Harry Kane and Trent-Alexandar Arnold scored late in the second half to win the match by a 3-0 scoreline.
