Emiliano Martinez has won the Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d'Or 2024 awards ceremony at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris on October 29. The Argentina and Aston Villa shot-stopper has arguably been one of the best goalkeeper in the 2023-24 season, playing an instrumental role in the Argentina national football team winning the Copa America 2024 title earlier this year. This is also the second time that Emiliano Martinez has won this award after having won it for the first time in 2023 and he has become the first goalkeeper to do so. Liverpool and Brazil's Alisson Becker had won the first Yachine Trophy award in 2019.
