East Bengal were on course for a 2-0 win, but Mohun Bagan Super Giant pulled one back in added time with Suhail Bhat scoring. But that was not enough for Mohun Bagan Super Giant as they finished on the losing side, despite East Bengal being reduced to 10 men, with Joseph Justin seeing a second yellow card and being sent off.
