Cesar Luis Menotti led Argentina to their first-ever World Cup win in 1978 on home soil. Menotti was hospitalised for a month due to severe anaemia. Argentina Football Association (AFA) confirmed the death of their legendary manager. AFA took to their official social media page to announce the demise and wrote, "The Argentine Football Association regrets to report with great sadness the death of César Luis Menotti, current Director of National Teams and former World Champion coach of Argentina."
