The FIFA World Cup 2022 winning Argentine midfielder Alejandro "Papu" Gomez, has been banned for two years from professional football for taking the prohibited substance named terbutaline, as stated on Friday by his current club, Monza. The banned substance was consumed by the former Sevilla winger in October of last year, just days before the FIFA World Cup in Qatar got underway. Gomez was supposedly feeling unwell while working out with Sevilla. He therefore took a cough syrup from one of his kids which had terbutaline, a substance used to treat bronchospasm crisis.
