The Argentina vs Morocco match was 'interrupted' as fans ran onto the pitch following Cristian Medina's late leveller at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Wednesday, July 24. Javier Mascherano's men fell behind just at the stroke of half-time, with Soufiane Rahimi opening the scoring. Rahimi then doubled Morocco's lead in the 51st minute and dictated proceedings. But Argentina bounced back well, with Giuliano Simeone netting in the 68th minute. It seemed Morocco would walk away winners with a 1-2 margin, but Cristian Medina pulled one back in injury time. However, the match was stopped as fans stormed the pitch and also threw objects at the Argentine players. Paris Olympics' official website stated that the match was 'interrupted' as security officials ran on to escort the fans out of the field. Uzbekistan 1-2 Spain, Paris Olympics 2024: Marc Pubill, Sergio Gomez Score As La Roja Secure Opening Victory of Summer Olympic Games.
