In a heartfelt video shared on ‘X’, the USA Women’s National Team star Alex Morgan announces retirement. the 35-year-old San Diago Wave FC striker mentioned that the decision was a long time coming and at the start of the 2024 season she realized that it was finally time to say ‘good bye’ to the sport she loved. Morgan made 224 appearances for the USA Women’s National Football Team and scored 123 goals. She also won two world cups and was a member of the USA’s 2012 Olympic Medal winning side.
