Drama unfolded at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center during the Women's 100m Hurdles race when Wu Yanni, a chinese athlete was started false and was shown red card. Indian athlete Jyothi Yarraji was also tagged along with her although it seemed like she didn't commit the same. After repeated appeal, they were allowed to run the race with results subjected to be reviewed later. Jyothi was awarded the silver medal with Wu Yanni disqualified but Indian fans including High jumper Tejaswin Shankar was not content with it. He pointed out the Chinese athlete's false start as disgraceful and that Jyothi Yarraji was robbed in front of 80,000 crowd in a post shared on 'X', formerly twitter.
