Deepthi Jeevanji won the bronze medal in the Women's 400m T20 para-athletics event at the Paris Paralympics 2024 on Tuesday, September 3. Jeevanji finished with a strong timing of 55.82 seconds and sealed a spot on the podium in this event. For the uninitiated, Deepthi Jeevanji had won the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan earlier this year with a record time of 55.07 seconds. This was India's 16th overall medal at the Paris Paralympics. Jeevanji's bronze is also India's third in track events at the Paris Paralympics 2024 after Preeti Pal's two bronze medals. Ukraine's Yuliia Shuliar won the gold medal while Turkey's Aysel Onder took silver.
