So whenever there is a dot ball in an over, it is represented as a tree – indicating trees will be planted. The step was part of the green initiative the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) started. The BCCI, partnering with the Tata Group, has promised to plant as many as 500 trees for every dot ball bowled during the three Playoff games and the Final.
