The right-hander, many fans believed, is playing his final T20 World Cup, and he made a massive announcement while collecting his Man of the Match award for his 76-run knock in the India vs South Africa final. Kohli retires from T20Is as one of the greatest to have ever played it. Kohli was not at his best in the whole of the T20 World Cup 2024 but kept his best for the last and eventually bowed out of the shortest format on a high.
