Uganda created history after winning the PNG vs UGA ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 match. This was the first time, Uganda won a match in the major ICC T20 tournament and achieved the record by defeating Papua New Guinea by three wickets. The Cricket Cranes were able to chase down 78 runs wherein Riazat Ali Shah played an innings of 33 runs.
