The toss ahead of the Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat BBL 2023-24 match had to be repeated twice after the bat landed during the bat flip, on December 12. The bat was thrown up in the air and it handed, very surprisingly, on its edge. It was an interesting moment before the match and the bat landed fine the next time it was flipped up in the air. The video of the bat landing on its side has gone viral on social media. A similar thing has happened in the past well since the bat flip was introduced as a replacement for the coin toss.
