Team India Players Test Negative for COVID-19 Ahead of Fifth Test Against England in Manchester

The Indian team were hit by a COVID-19 scare with physio Yogesh Parmar testing positive on Thursday, forcing the training session to be called off. There was also a lot of unclarity about the fifth match going ahead as scheduled with BCCI President Sourav Ganguly himself stating that he was unsure about the game.

The Indian team players have all tested negative for COVID-19 before the fifth and final Test of the series against England. RT-PCR Tests were done for all the players after physio Yogesh Parmar tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday morning. This development would indeed be a huge boost to chances of the match being played, although an official confirmation is yet to be received.
