Sohail Tanvir, Pakistan Bowler Who Once Held Best Bowling Figures in IPL, Retires from International Cricket

Tanvir belonged to the rare breed of pacers who are wrong-footed and was well known for his unique action. He mostly found success in the shorter format of the game, but he suffered from regular injuries.

Sohail Tanvir, veteran Pakistan cricketing star, announced his retirement from all formats of International cricket. Sohail was Pakistan's lead pacer during late 2000s and early 2010s. He came in as a replacement of Shoaib Akhtar in Pakistan Cricket team in 2007 ICC T20 World Cup and then had a stellar campaign in the inaugural IPL for Rajasthan Royals. Tanvir holds the record of second-best bowling figures in the IPL. Although he drew curtains on his International career, he confirmed to continue in domestic and franchise cricket.
