Shubman Gill made a comeback in the Team India side against Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, making his debut in the competition. He started India's chase well, timing a few drives through cover but times a slash through point straight in to the hands of Shadab Khan. Shaheen Shah Afridi tried to go full and wide and made him reach out and got the result.
